MSN practicum requirements vary by pathway and program. Confirm the current course before sourcing a preceptor, mentor, or site.

Privacy policy

This policy explains what we collect when you request placement, why we collect it, who ever sees it, and the choices you keep. Plain language, no dark patterns: the summary is that we use your information to arrange your placement and for nothing else, and you can ask us to update or delete it at any time.

What we collect

When you submit the request form, join the newsletter, or chat with an advisor, we collect the information you provide: your name, email, phone, the MSN program you are in, your specialty and state, your timeline, and anything you tell us about your placement needs, such as hours remaining or sites you have already tried. If you later become a client, we also hold the documents involved in arranging your placement, such as correspondence about preceptors, sites and school paperwork.

We collect standard technical data as well, such as pages visited and the general performance of the site, to keep it working and to understand which guides are useful. We do not ask for, and you should not send, clinical information about patients, and we do not need government identifiers, financial account numbers or health records to do our work.

Cookies and similar technologies

This site uses only the minimum technical storage it needs to function: session and preference storage that keeps forms and the chat widget working, and basic measurement of which pages are visited. We do not run third-party advertising trackers, we do not participate in cross-site ad networks, and we do not use your browsing on this site to target you elsewhere. If we ever add a tool that changes this, this section will say so in plain terms before it takes effect.

How we use it

We use your information for one purpose: to source and coordinate a preceptor placement for you and to follow up about it. Concretely, that means matching your track, state and hours against preceptor availability, preparing the documentation your school requires, replying to your questions, and letting you know about the status of your request.

If you joined the newsletter, we send occasional placement-related tips to the address you gave, and every send includes a working way to stop them. We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we do not enrich it with data purchased from third parties.

When we share it

We share your information only with the parties necessary to arrange your placement, and only as much as the task needs. A prospective preceptor or clinical site learns who you are, your program and the hours you need, because no match can happen otherwise. Your school's clinical office receives the documentation it requires to review the placement. Service providers that run our infrastructure, such as email delivery and form handling, process data on our instructions and for no purpose of their own.

We do not sell your information, we do not rent lists, and we do not hand your details to marketers. If the law ever compels disclosure, we disclose the minimum required and, where lawful, tell you about it.

Email, phone and chat choices

You control the channels. Newsletter emails stop the moment you unsubscribe. If you ask us by phone or chat to stop contacting you on a given channel, we stop. Chat conversations are retained so an advisor can pick up where the last one left off; if you want a conversation deleted, ask in the conversation itself or through the contact form and we will remove it.

Retention and security

We keep request information only as long as needed to provide the service, resolve a question, or meet a legal obligation, and then we delete it. Placement records connected to an invoiced engagement are retained for the period bookkeeping rules require. We protect what we hold with access controls and encrypted transport, and the small team that can see your details is the team arranging your placement.

No transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. What we can promise is proportion: we hold little, we hold it briefly, and the most sensitive thing we typically ever possess about you is your contact information and your program details. If we ever become aware of a breach affecting your information, we will tell you what happened, what was involved, and what we are doing about it, promptly and in plain language.

Your rights and how to use them

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it at any time by replying to any message from us or using the contact form. Deletion requests are honored except where a record must be kept for legal or accounting reasons, and in that case we tell you what remains and why. This site is intended for adults pursuing graduate nursing education; it is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

If we change this policy, the change appears on this page with the updated text in place. Material changes to how we use existing information will be flagged to you directly rather than buried in a revision.

Request a preceptor

Tell us your MSN pathway. We'll start sourcing.

No cost to request. An advisor reviews the current course, pathway, location, and approval requirements before candidate sourcing begins.

We do not guarantee placement. Final approval rests with your program.
